TPI Solutions Ink presents 'Twas the Night before a Deadline

By Carrie Grove | Mon, Dec 23, 2013

Last year at TPI Solutions Ink we all put our heads together and rewrote the classic poem "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" and that became our holiday card. This year we decided to turn it into this humorous holiday video. A big thanks to Kevin Walunas for filming, editing and making it happen!

Please watch, enjoy and share! Happy Holidays!

The Printer's Version

Twas the night before . . .

a DEADLINE,
and all through the shop

All the presses were running,
they just could not stop.

Spot colors were checked
by the pressman with care,
To stray from the pantone book,
he would not dare.

When out in the bindery
there arose s
uch a clatter,
He r
an to the folder to see
what was the matter.

When, what to his
wondering eyes did appear
But a torn up old press sheet
that was stuck in the gear

With a little adjustment
so lively and quick,
He realized the paper
might just be too thick.

He called on his coworkers
so quickly they came,
As he whistled and shouted
and called them by name;

Now Jim, now Diana,
Carrie Andrew and Dan,

Heather, Jack, Addy Bill

come as quick as you can!

We must finish this job,
the sheets piled so tall,
Now fold away! Fold away!

Fold away all!

So onto finishing the
big job all by hand,
To miss a tight deadline is
something we cannot stand.

TPI made sure it was done and done right,

Happy printing to all and to all a good night!

Printing Your Story – Self-Publishing a Book

By Carrie Grove | Wed, Oct 10, 2012

Secretly I have dreamt of becoming a famous author. I just think that it would be so cool to come up with an amazingly creative and riveting piece of fiction, print it on paper, bind it and then sell it to the masses. I am in awe of and I truly admire authors like J.K. Rowlings and Jodi Picoult to name two. What a gift to be able to create such interesting characters that come to life in the vivid stories that they weave, all the while earning a fantastic, even outrageous, income. My dream profession and title . . . “Famous Author”.
